About

This is the official Conrad family weekly dinner blog.  Nothing sexy – just a weekly post on what we are having for dinner the upcoming week.

Back in October of 2009, I started doing weekly meal planning based on items that were in season, on sale or sitting in my freezer.  As I do just about everything via email, I made the menu in outlook and emailed it to myself and husband each week.  Several people asked to be on the distribution list over the past months so I thought it would be just as easy to post to a blog and here you have it.

How do I do it?  Primarily, I take 1 lucky kid (they rotate each week) with me every Saturday morning to do all the shopping for the upcoming week.  To save time during the week, I make marinades the night before and also pre-chop the evening prior to save time.

A little bit about me….. I am a mother of 3, working as a social marketing consultant that loves an organized, healthy and pretty looking meal each evening.  Best part of the day is arriving home, pouring a glass of white wine and making dinner while the chaos erupts all around me.  All the kids have jobs each night (table-setter, stir-er (is that a word?), grabbing herbs from outside etc.).  I have to admit my kids (10, 5 and 5) don’t eat everything I make but they usually try everything and I always have at least 1 food item I know they will eat.

Enjoy!
