Dinners w/o 9/8:

Sunday – out for sushi

Grilled steak
Grilled asparagus / zucchini rounds (tossed with olive oil, s/p – thrown in a grill basket)
Steamed brown rice

Tuesday –
Grilled salmon (drizzle with olive oil, s/p, thinly sliced lemon slices spread across)
Shredded Kale salad http://www.dinneralovestory.com/six-summer-salads/
Grilled asparagus and green beans (tossed with olive oil, s/p – thrown in a grill basket)

Wednesday –
Healthy chicken and corn chowder http://www.heatherchristo.com/cooks/2013/09/10/chicken-and-corn-chowder/
Green salad – lemon vinaigrette (olive oil, lemon juice, s/p whisked together)

Thursday – out
Trying Whale Wins – anyone been there? http://www.thewhalewins.com/

Friday – friends over
Grilled halibut with herb garlic butter http://www.food.com/recipe/garlic-herb-butter-23227 (I have been keeping this butter on hand in the freezer – just slice over grilled fish, chicken and let melt after it’s been cooked or even tossing in pasta noodles – has a ton of great flavor)
Grilled veggies – use up all your veggies in the fridge. Cut up in large pieces, toss in olive oil, s/p then put directly on the grill. After they have grill marks move to a cutting board, let cool a bit then chop into small pieces and put in bowl and serve. You can even throw some feta on top.
Lemon caprese pasta http://www.heatherchristo.com/cooks/2011/07/29/lemon-caprese-pasta/ or Ina’s summer garden pasta http://barefootcontessa.com/recipes.aspx?RecipeID=704&S=0 Can’t decide!
Smores – using regular chocolate for the kids, salted caramel chocolate for the adults

Saturday –
Chicken lettuce wraps – http://overcocktails.blogspot.com/2009/10/healthy-lettuce-wraps.html
Asparagus with soy and butter – http://overcocktails.blogspot.com/2009/04/asparagus-has-arrived.html
steamed brown rice
